Veronika Windisch was a professional athlete in short track speed skating and competed in 2 Olympic Games (2010 Vancouver, 2014 Sochi). She retired after the games in Sochi and since then has competed in a lot of other sports like road cycling, track cycling, tower running, and duathlons.

She won medals in world cup competitions in short track and in the tower running world tour and is Austrian champion in inline speed skating and short track speed skating and vize champion in track cycling.

Marco Dallago convinced her to compete at the Riders Cup in Wagrain-Kleinarl, where she came second in 2015/16, but followed up with two victories in a row in the next two seasons. "I had so much fun competing there, that I wanted to try a big event like the Red Bull Crashed Ice in Marseille."

Besides her sports career Veronika studied Sport Science, which she finished with a Masters degree, and made the Austrian coaching licence in fitness and athletic training. She is teaching now in a school as well as studying Biology. She is also a resilience teacher and national certified Athletic Coach.
